Local fuels will account for one-fifth of the fuel balance of the Vitebsk oblast this year, BelTA learnt from Alexander Kravchenko, the deputy chief of the Vitebsk oblast department for supervision over rational use of fuel and energy.
In H1 the consumption of local fuels increased by 74,000 tonnes of fuel equivalent (the annual target is 71,000 tonnes of fuel equivalent). According to specialists, by the end of the year the consumption of local fuels will exceed 1 million tonnes of fuel equivalent. The needs of the oblast are estimated at around 5 million ones of fuel equivalent.
Alexander Kravchenko said that this year Br240 billion will be put in energy saving measures. The housing and utulitites economy will be modernised. This year eight boilers running on chipped wood will become operational in towns of the oblast. |
